It was a sad day in New Bern today.
Our Lucy died.
She lived with us for 18 years and had many close calls. In October we were told she had kidney failure and a list of other ailments, all which were life threatening.
They said she could live weeks so in her usual fashion (she was one tough kitty) she was with us another six months. Fortunately it was only the past week that she really seemed to be ready to go.
The house really seems empty tonight with both of our babies gone.
Jan, I'm so sorry to hear about your Lucy. It really is tough when she's been a part of your life for so long. Our 15 year old female cat passed away last month from kidney failure as well so I completely understand what you're going through. Our thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteSoory Jan for the loss of Lucy, my heart is sad for the both of you left behind. I know and feel the same pain from the loss of my dogs who are my children. I'll be thinking of you. I know you will keep busy and hopefully that will help some. Wendy
