Our Friend Clayton and His Clever Creations

A few posts ago I talked about the hand crafted nativities we have from some of our artists.

One of those artists is our friend Clayton.

Not only does he do cute nativities has does Santas, skaters, reindeer, toothbrush holders and lots of other clever things from clay.

Clayton started making hand sculpted items using left over clay from his mother's studio. He was 14. By the time he was in high school he was employing many of his friends to help build the creations he designed.

Clayton went on to college, making his sculptures each summer. Went to work for an investment company then went back to clay. He's bee creating his work for over 30 years and we've been carrying Clayton's work since 1998!

Here are some of his newest pieces.

Love the ice, created by putting glass in the bottom of the piece.

These toothbrush holders can also be used for toothpicks when serving hors d'oeuvres.

Always look forward to see what he comes up with next!
